Degrees of Freedom of Interference Networks with Transmitter-Side Caches

چکیده
This paper studies cache-aided interference networks with arbitrary number of transmitters and receivers, whereby each transmitter has a cache memory of finite size. Each transmitter fills its cache memory from a content library of files in the placement phase. In the subsequent delivery phase, each receiver requests one of the library files, and the transmitters are responsible for delivering the requested files from their caches to the receivers. The objective is to design schemes for the placement and delivery phases to maximize the sum degrees of freedom (sum-DoF) which expresses the capacity of the interference network at the high signal-to-noise ratio regime. Our work mainly focuses on a commonly used uncoded placement strategy. We provide an information-theoretic bound on the sumDoF for this placement strategy. We demonstrate by an example that the derived bound is tighter than the bounds existing in the literature for small cache sizes. We propose a novel delivery scheme with a higher achievable sum-DoF than those previously given in the literature. The results reveal that the reciprocal of sum-DoF decreases linearly as the transmitter cache size increases. Therefore, increasing cache sizes at transmitters translates to increasing the sum-DoF and, hence, the capacity of the interference networks. Degrees of Freedom of Cache-Aided Wireless Interference Networks
We study the role of caches in wireless interference networks. We focus on content caching and delivery across a Gaussian interference network, where both transmitters and receivers are equipped with caches. We provide a constant-factor approximation of the system’s degrees of freedom (DoF), for arbitrary number of transmitters, number of receivers, content library size, receiver cache size, an...
متن کاملOn The Secrecy of the Cognitive Interference Channel with Channel State
In this paper the secrecy problem in the cognitive state-dependent interference channel is considered. In this scenario we have a primary and a cognitive transmitter-receiver pairs. The cognitive transmitter has the message of the primary sender as side information. In addition, the state of the channel is known at the cognitive encoder. Hence, the cognitive encoder uses this side information t...
متن کاملInterference alignment and the degrees of freedom of wireless X networks
We explore the degrees of freedom of M ×N user wireless X networks, i.e. networks of M transmitters and N receivers where every transmitter has an independent message for every receiver. We derive a general outerbound on the degrees of freedom region of these networks. When all nodes have a single antenna and all channel coefficients vary in time or frequency, we show that the total number of d...
متن کاملOn the Degrees of Freedom of Full-Duplex Cellular Networks
Full-duplex (FD) cellular networks are considered in which a FD base station (BS) simultaneously supports a set of half-duplex (HD) downlink (DL) users and a set of HD uplink (UL) users. The transmitter and the receiver of the BS are equipped with reconfigurable antennas, each of which can choose its transmit or receive mode from several preset modes. Under the no self-interference assumption a...
متن کاملDegrees of Freedom of Single-hop and Multi-hop MIMO Interference Networks with Feedback and Cooperation
A multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication network consists of a set of multiantenna transmitters and receivers that communicate over a common noisy medium. Each transmitter has access to a set of messages, each of which it needs to deliver to one of the receivers. Since the transmitter(s) transmit multiple messages over such networks, each receiver encounters interference due to und...
